Newsletter
The Society’s quarterly newsletter ‘The BassArts’ provides an extensive range of information for dissemination to members and interested members of the broader community. The newsletter is mailed to members and copies are also distributed to local libraries, information centres and local galleries.
The newsletter contains a calendar of local events, exhibitions and art competitions, together with profiles of Workshop tutors. A regular ‘Hints’ and ‘Things you might like to know’ are also included in each edition and members are encouraged to contribute articles of interest for publication and Letters to the Editor.
Through the newsletter the Society encourages the pursuit of all arts throughout the Bass Coast Shire. Profiles of local artists from various spheres of the arts are regularly featured to assist in raising the profiles of individuals and groups throughout the region.
The newsletter provides up to date information on the Society’s activities together with contact information.
Editor
Hazell Billington is an artist who also has expertise in the creation and editing of newsletters. In addition to her interests in the arts, Hazell operated a typing and desktop publishing service in Melbourne for 15 years.
