Welcome to the website of the Bass Coast Artists’ Society.
With 42 continuous years of operation and over 130 active members, the Society is one of the largest and most active community organisations in the Bass Coast Shire.
Membership is relatively inexpensive and members enjoy a friendly, relaxed and supportive environment in which to pursue their artistic endeavours.
Our home base, the Goods Shed at the Railway Station precinct in Wonthaggi is a magnificent facility for open studio sessions (Mondays and Wednesdays), life drawing (Tuesdays) and workshops and demonstrations (Saturdays).
The Bass Coast Shire Council supports the Society in maintaining the quality of its facilities and, as a major contributor to all forms of the arts in the shire, the Society appreciates the support of Council and is very proud of the part that it plays in the life of the Bass Coast community.
Location
The Society is located in the Wonthaggi Railway Goods Shed. Access is via the Big W car park, entering from Korumburra Road.
